Yes, you have what it takes!
Mendham's EMS volunteers are something special: the kind of people your neighbors want taking care of their families.
You can do this too, and we need you!
We'll provide training, and make your comfortable as part of our team. We'll even work within the flexibility of your schedule, so you can continue to focus on family and other obligations. No prior experience is necessary: just a willingness to help your neighbors!

Become an EMT!You don't need healthcare experience -- EMTs come from all walks of life, including educators, marketing, realtors and small business owners.
It doesn't matter how old you are -- We've had volunteers in their 40s, 50s, even 70s become EMTs. All you need is a desire to help others. |
Welcome to the Mendham First Aid SquadWe provide emergency first aid services to the Borough of Mendham seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, the MFAS typically responds to ~400 calls per year. Most of our calls are for basic illnesses, falls, and minor injuries. And while we continually train to handle more serious situations, we know we have additional support from local hospital-based paramedics if and when needed. Our volunteers come from all parts of our community – students, retirees, corporate professionals, teachers, small business owners, as well as those already engaged in the public safety and healthcare fields. In fact, just about anyone can volunteer with the squad, as there are always plenty of activities to be supported. EMT certifications or prior healthcare experience isn’t a requirement of membership – the only thing we ask for is a willingness to learn and be trained. Volunteers are always needed. If you are interested, use our website contact form or visit us at the First Aid Squad Building from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. |
