Volunteers Needed
(updated Saturday, August 23.2009)

The Mendham First Aid Squad (MFAS) provides volunteer emergency first aid services to the Borough seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Borough first aid volunteers currently answer over 500 calls a year.

When a resident of Mendham Borough calls 9-1-1 for a medical emergency, we are the ones who respond. We help residents with basic medical services and provide ambulance transportation to area hospitals. If the illness or injury is life-threatening, we call for paramedic support.

Your call to 9-1-1 goes to the Morris County Communications Center, who dispatches the MFAS in the case of a medical emergency. The MFAS members meet at the firehouse, form a crew and drive the ambulance to the scene. Depending on the nature and location of the call, other MFAS members go directly to the scene in order to provide the earliest possible care.

Volunteers are always needed. If you are interested, visit us at the Firehouse from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. If you are unable to come between those hours, call and leave a message to set up a time to meet with one of our officers. Or send us an email: mendhamfirstaid@gmail.com

The Mendham First Aid Squad is sponsoring a memorial t-shirt dedicated to Mendham Borough Police Sgt. Rich Morales who passed away this past April. Rich was an EMT and Trustee of the MFAS. The shirts are available throughout the Boro Carnival September 4-7th or by special order. All of the proceeds benefit the "Morales Family Fund". Please support this project.
